Discover the charm of the Bohemian Paradise! The surroundings of the Dolánky campsite are literally a treasure trove of natural beauties, historical monuments, and magical rock towns. We have prepared a short overview of the most interesting places you can comfortably reach on foot from the campsite.
Dlask's Farmhouse
A unique timbered house right next to the campsite is a gem of folk architecture. It belongs to the Museum of the Bohemian Paradise, and during the season, you can experience fairs, cultural events, and craft markets here.
Hrubý Rohozec Castle
An impressive residence on a limestone cliff. Head there along the red trail around the ponds – along the way, you'll encounter beautiful views and romantic nooks.
Bartošova Cave
An impressive cave with a plentiful spring by the Vazovecký stream. The route along the blue trail leads past Bezednice, historical fishponds, and old mills. Inline skaters will also enjoy the path.
Frýdštejn Castle
A fairytale silhouette above the Malá Skála valley. This route is ideal for nature and history lovers who want to enjoy the beauties of the Bohemian Paradise on foot. You can set out along the blue trail via Bartošova Cave, or the red trail via Drábovna or Malá Skála and Vranov.
Vranov-Pantheon Castle
Visit the beautiful rock castle founded in 1425 with a romantic view of Malá Skála. We recommend the route Dolánky – Drábovna – Frýdštejn – Vranov – Pantheon – Malá Skála.
Valdštejn Castle
One of the landmarks of the Bohemian Paradise. You will reach the ruins by combining the blue, green, and red tourist trails.
Hlavatice Lookout Tower
A rock with a lookout tower and panoramic views of the Krkonoše, Ještěd, and Bezděz. Towards Turnov, less than 5km.
Town of Turnov
The walking route from Dolánky near Turnov to the center of Turnov is approximately 3km and easy, ideal for a leisurely walk along the Jizera River.
In addition to shopping, Turnov offers the Museum of the Bohemian Paradise, a renovated synagogue, the Granát gallery, a craft alley, and a summer cinema.
Hruboskalsko Rock Town
Famous sandstone towers, magical valleys, and healing springs. The rock town is accessible via the green, red, and yellow tourist trails.
Klokočské Rocks and Rotštejn
An adventure trip among sandstone towers and the ruins of Rotštejn Castle. Enjoy the Postojna Cave and Zdenčina Rock viewpoint along the blue and red trails.
Besedice Rocks and Kalich – Chléviště Rock Labyrinth
A children's paradise among sandstones. The Chléviště labyrinth is full of hideouts and views of the Jizera valley. Set out on the blue and green, or yellow trail directly to Besedice.
Zbirohy
The ruins of a small castle above the Jizera River. Follow the blue or green trail to the remains of the tower and cellars carved into the rock.
